Requirements:

  • Matric or Grade 12;
  • National N Diploma in Financial Management or Equivalent;
  • 1– 2 Years appropriate experience;
  • Basic knowledge of financial functions, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer and collate financial statistics, knowledge of ITS;
  • Driver's license;
  • Knowledge and understanding of the TVET/CET administration will be an added advantage.

Duties:

  • Assist with the coordination of bursary application processes;
  • Assist with coordinating and monitoring financial aid processes;
  • Analyse NSFAS provisionally funded students, control budget for students support services;
  • Assist with the coordination of providing feedback to students relating to the progress of the bursary process as communicated by NSFAS;
  • Assist in reporting on all bursary allocations and progress;
  • Ensure that Student support services and facilities are rendered and sufficiently provided across campuses;
  • Responsible for class representative elections;
  • Chronic absenteeism and support for struggling students;
  • Employable skills training, Health and wellness activities - for example, Activations;
  • Awareness campaigns, organise induction;
  • Academic support facilitates struggling students;
  • Attend Sports, Arts and Culture meetings.

Occupational Healthy, Safety & Environmental (OHSE) Intern x 2

Duties:

Provide administrative and operational support to the Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental (OHSE) function of the College:

  • Assist with the administration and maintenance of OHSE files and records;
  • Assist with the compilation, updating and filing of OHSE documentation;
  • Assist with maintaining OHSE registers, checklists, inspection records and reports;
  • Assist with workplace health and safety inspections across College sites;
  • Assist with identifying and reporting unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and potential hazards;
  • Assist with monitoring and follow-up of corrective and preventative actions;
  • Assist with the administration of incident, accident and near-miss reports;
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of OHSE communication, notices and awareness material;
  • Assist with the coordination and administration of OHSE inductions, awareness sessions and training activities;
  • Assist with maintaining records of OHSE training and employee attendance;
  • Assist with the monitoring of contractor and service provider OHSE documentation and compliance;
  • Assist with the administration and monitoring of safety files for contractors and service providers;
  • Assist with the preparation of documentation required for internal and external OHSE audits;
  • Assist with the compilation of OHSE statistics, reports and submissions;
  • Assist the OHSE Officer with the implementation and monitoring of College OHSE programmes and procedures;
  • Assist with emergency preparedness activities, including evacuation drills and emergency equipment inspections;
  • Assist with monitoring the availability and condition of emergency equipment and safety signage;
  • Conduct administrative follow-ups with relevant departments regarding outstanding OHSE matters;
  • Perform general OHSE administrative duties as assigned by the OHSE Officer or relevant supervisor;
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure that OHSE records are securely stored and readily available when required.

Requirements:

  • Grade 12 / Matric Certificate or equivalent;
  • Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health, Safety Management, Environmental Management or an equivalent OHSE-related field.
  • 6 Months - 1 year work experience in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management or a related field will be an added advantage;
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety principles and practices;
  • Knowledge of applicable OHSE legislation and regulations will be an advantage;
  • Computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Office applications;
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and perform administrative duties;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Driver's licence.
