The Certificate holder will be able to:
Explain fundamental theories and principles of operations and control
that make up Mechatronic systems, assemble Mechatronic systems, test the
operation of and commission of Mechatronic systems, operate Mechatronic
systems, do fault finding and rectify problems, perform maintenance,
work according to correct procedures, use hand tools and operate machine
tools to produce components for maintenance and repair purposes.
Career Opportunities: On completion, the certificate holder will have
access to careers in any of the following sectors: Mechanical Engineering,
Electrical Engineering, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Robotics, Programmable Logic
Controllers (PLCs), Computer Numeric Control (CNC), Industrial Information
Technology, Welding.
